Welcome to the inaugural edition of Dekmantel Naarm, uniting the forward gems of local (club) culture with established and emerging artists from around the world. Home to fringe and future-minded sounds, Dekmantel kicks off at the Melbourne Recital Centre on Thursday, March 28th. On Saturday, March 30th, we’ll touch down in Footscray Park for a jam-packed festival day echoing the global events that make Dekmantel synonymous with the forefront of electronic music. When night falls, Sub Club is the place to be for our official after party. Wrapping things up on Sunday, March 31st, the final Dekmantel dance takes place at Miscellania. See you on the floor!

Dekmantel Naarm occurs on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the Elders past and present; their connection to land, music, stories and resistance since 1788. Always Was, Always Will Be.

The Melbourne RTecital Centre opens its doors for a transcendent opening concert of Dekmantel Naarm / Melbourne 2024.  E Fishpool with their immersive and ethereal explorations, Laraaji’s unearthly zither melodies, as well as Yu Su and Priori, who will both present bespoke, and no doubt mesmerising, live performances. A curated, and blissful auditory experience, to open what will be an unforgettable Dekmantel weekend.

Dinner Party w/ P.A.M & Yu Su

On March 29th, music and food connoisseur Yu Su takes over Cam’s Kiosk at the Abbotsford Convent for a special dining-meets-sound experience, with a drop of our collab merch with P.A.M at the helm. Be inspired by Yu Su’s pop-up kitchen, which often travels across the globe with her side-by-side her music touring, piling up plates of mostly Chinese-inspired dishes. With sweet selections while we eat by DJs Gee Dee (NYC), DJ Honeypants (JPN) & Mike Wale, you’ll be perfectly nourished and equipped for the dancing festivities to follow.

The first edition of Dekmantel Naarm wouldn’t be complete without Animalia: a key platform for Melbourne’s emerging producers. On Sunday, March 31st, we’re teaming up with the colourful imprint for a day-and-night event at Miscellania. Your dance floor captains: Batu, Bayu, Kia, Millu, OK EG, Reptant and Yawung.
